Edith-Anne

You know how some login screens remember your user name and then supply it for you as you type it in? Well, every login page that does that for me seems to remember only my typos. It's my little Charlie Brown thing.

I'm drinking this blueberry-cranberry cocktail that tastes like Blackberry Ribena. Purple is a fruit.

A friend of mine from high school got married the other day, surprising everybody. Eloping is totally the way to go. ^_^ I remember when Jo and Eric were planning their wedding and talking with Sean about he would be wearing, I made a comment along the lines of "This is nuts," and Jo said that I'd likely be doing it sometime. I'm still in firm denial of that. Having a wedding where you have to have a fitting beforehand takes enough calendar time to prepare that people will get the idea that they have time to "help" you by adding other elements, and suddenly you've got more flowers and confetti than you know what to do with and a spa day for the bridal party, which means you now have a bridal party. *sigh* At least I can take comfort in the fact that I'm totally getting ahead of myself... ^_^

(Exception to above rant: Lindsay and Treleana's wedding had lots and lots of gorgeous flowers. But they were a gift from the flower company that Trelena works for, so she neither had to plan them nor pay for them. ^_^)

Oh, hey, I guess I shouold mention that I got a job. I'm at Old Navy in South Common. I'm a denim monkey. Well, not really, because I haven't actually worked in the "denim shop" yet, but it's a good general title. I felt very old when I took out my cellphone to call Jenilee during my lunch break on my first shift and the girl at the table in the break room with me said that she'd been grounded and had her cellphone taken away from her for coming home half an hour past curfew. I don't think I could stand to be under 18 again. I enjoy my freedoms too much. Yes, less responsibility would be nice in some ways, but taking responsibility for myself is overall very beneficial. I don't need a note to go on a school trip, for instance. ;-p

Lastly, this autosave thing with Blogger is kinda creepy. A little... fanatical with the saving every minute. Even MS Word only does every five minutes. And, is it my imagination, or is the saved button getting bigger?

E-mails and Evil Nails

It is prior to 9am on this Wednesday, which, since I fell asleep at roughly 1:30 last night, means I did not get as much sleep as I would have liked. My eyes feel sandy and I am rather irritable. Man, I'd have hoped that if I woke up feeling like this that I at least would've had fun the night before. Oh, well...

In any case, now that more of us are back in town, we must all get together and see eachother. PRi, Morgan and others, answer your e-mails about seeing Sean and Iva! I want to hear stories about Chicago from you, too! Spiffy pictures, btw... =)

In other news, they're going to be cleaning my street, probably today, so I'm going to go move my car into the driveway. I am so looking forward to having a clean street--I have had sooo many flat tires since moving into this construction area. Well, okay, maybe only 5 or so, but that's a lot of flat tires for 7 months... Speaking of, I should call Fountain Tire about getting my latest one fixed. It's a slow leak, and I've just taken to filling it up every 5 days or so, rather than taking it in.

And then I must get coffee.

*sniffle*

Gilmore Girls is ending. :-( I mean, I'm glad that it's not going to be all drawn-out into what would likely be its less-than-stellar 8th, 9th, 10th, etc seasons, but, still... :-( I haven't had a beloved show end on me in a while. I think I may go rent some DVDs of the show and curl up to watch them.

I really need to review my level of emotional investment in television shows...

Slippers are the New Shoes... and so are Shoes

Hello all! I am officially done my APT, and I am glad to be rid of the high-stress nature of it. Now I must find a job. *sigh* First, though, I must do laundry. Doing laundry makes me feel better in the sense that I feel like I have gotten something useful done. If only it wasn't so boring...

Amusing story: The last class of the day on Friday was my Band 20/30 class, and they "celebrated" the Fridayness of it all by swinging their transcription of The Marriage of Figaro. And the first two movements of Holst's First Suite. The third movement didn't get finished before the bell, so after the bell, I conducted them through it at double time. ^_^ Or, well, as close to double time as that movement can be played... ^_^

I find myself with rather little to say right now. I went shopping yesterday. I bought some incredibly cute summer shoes, as well as a t-shirt that says "Pale is the New Tan," which I am wearing right now as I hide in my basement with the blinds closed against the overcast sky. I also bought necessities, like jeans, because I only had one pair, and a purse, because mine was... well, you'd know what I mean if you saw it. I needed a new one. I don't have a purse fetish like my mom, so I don't have one that I can just reach for when the one I'm using starts looking a little sickly. Although I guess I could've used one of my mom's... but that might have started some kind of territory war... ^_^

I should go walk my dog. It was raining this morning when my mom walked him, so he didn't get much in the way of exercise. I want a lawn. All this dirt/mud is getting very annoying. We can't put down our own grass, either, because the builders have to make the groud have the right slope down into the "stormwater management facility," aka pond, otherwise there could be basement flooding and such. *annoyed* Walking my dog would require that I trade my fuzzy sippers for some socks and shoes, though... *sigh*

Also, it seems that Kaitlyn has actually deleted her blog now, so I have removed it from my links list. Come visit soon, Kaitlyn!
